Humana has named Japan Mehta as chief information officer. 

It's been an unprecendented year for health plan CEOs, with new leadership at Humana, Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, Optum and multiple BCBS plans.

L.A. Care Health Plan has named Martha Santana-Chin as its next CEO.

Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health has named Aparna Abburi as senior vice president of population health and health plan services and CEO of Sutter Health Plan. 

The CEOs of at least three payers plan to retire at the end of 2024. 

Medical Mutual has named an interim CEO, with current CEO Steven Glass set to exit. 

Centene subsidiary Sunshine Health Plan has named Charlene Zein plan president and CEO. 

Centene president Ken Fasola plans to retire in July 2025. 

Humana has named Michelle O'Hara as chief human resources officer. 

Health Alliance Plan has named Margaret Anderson as interim president.
