From BCBS Massachusetts to UnitedHealthcare's California market, these are 20 payer CEO moves recently reported by Becker's:

  1. BeWellnm, New Mexico's health insurance exchange, named Bruce Gilbert as CEO, Albuquerque Business First reported Nov. 11.

  2. Highmark Health appointed Bruce Meyer, MD, on Nov. 7 to serve as executive vice president and Western Pennsylvania market president, effective Dec. 5.

  3. MHS Health Wisconsin named Titus Muzi Jr. as president and CEO Nov. 7.

  4. Alameda Alliance for Health said Nov. 3 its CEO, Scott Coffin, is retiring, effective May 31, 2023.

  5. Meridian of Michigan, a Centene subsidiary, named Patricia Graham as CEO Oct. 27. 

  6. ClaimsXten appointed Carolyn Wukitch as CEO in October after UnitedHealth Group sold the company to TPG Capital for $2.2 billion.

  7. UnitedHealthcare named Steve Cain as CEO of its California market in October.

  8. PacificSource Health Plans named Jeremy Vandehey as Oregon market president, effective mid-October.

  9. Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee promoted Mark Rakowski to president of its insurance division, Chorus Community Health Plans, on Oct. 10.

  10. UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Oklahoma, the company's Medicaid and D-SNP division, named Mallory Van Horn CEO in October.

  11. Sonder Health, a Georgia health plan provider, named Suzanna Roberts CEO on Oct. 4.

  12. CareSource named David Donohue CEO of the Arkansas market Sept. 26, where he will lead PASSE, the company's value-based delivery program for Medicaid patients.

  13. Delaware First Health, a Centene subsidiary, selected Bill Wilson to serve as plan president and CEO Sept. 26.

  14. Essence Healthcare, the Medicare Advantage subsidiary of St. Louis-based Lumeris, named Umar Farooq as president Sept. 20.

  15. Hometown Health, a part of Reno, Nev.-based Renown Health, named Bethany Sexton CEO, effective Sept. 12.

  16. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts named Sarah Iselin CEO Aug. 30. Ms. Iselin will begin with the company Dec. 5 before assuming her new role Jan. 1.

  17. Health Alliance Medical Plans, a part of Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health, named its COO, Sinead Rice Madigan, as president and CEO Aug. 17.

  18. Sentara Health Plans named Colin Drozdowski president Aug 17. Former President and CEO Dennis Matheis became president and CEO of Sentara Healthcare.

  19. Clover Health said Aug. 8 that President Andrew Toy will take over as CEO Jan. 1 as founder Vivek Garipalli moves from the position. Mr. Garipalli will remain with the company as executive chair.

  20. Medical Mutual of Ohio named Steven Glass president and CEO, effective Aug. 1.
