From several partnerships around social determinants of health to Humana becoming an equity partner in a Pennsylvania ACO, these are eight payer partnerships Becker's has reported since June 21:
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and Washington, D.C.-based Hurdle Health said July 19 they have partnered to offer free, culturally sensitive mental telehealth services to residents of Brooklyn Center, Minn., starting later this year.
- SCAN Group, the Long Beach, Calif.-based parent company of Medicare Advantage provider SCAN Health Plan, has invested in SafeRide Health, a nonemergency medical transport company that builds custom transportation programs for older individuals.
- Florida Blue said July 18 it plans to expand its Medicare opioid management program with Prime Therapeutics following positive pilot results.
- Humana became an equity partner of Villanova, Pa.-based Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization July 13 to provide the ability to expand services and add infrastructure to support performance in population- and value-based contracting.
- Independence Blue Cross said July 11 it is partnering with Philadelphia-based Cocolife.black and Cayaba Care to address racial disparities in maternal health.
- Highmark's partnership with Google Cloud is offering members personalized and equity-focused health plans through enhanced data analytics and a social determinants of health strategy, PittsburghInno reported July 8. First launched in December 2020, the custom health plans are backed by a six-year agreement between Highmark and Google Cloud company Verily.
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota said June 15 it is partnering with San Francisco-based Castlight Health to launch a new health, wellness and care navigation solution for commercial health plan members, beginning Jan. 1.
- Buckeye Health Plan said June 21 it is partnering with Walgreens Health to expand its Health Corners service to Medicaid members in five Ohio locations this summer.
