More than 1,000 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan employees will return to work after a nearly three-month-long strike. 

30 payers have been ranked by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for their inclusivity toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees. 

Nearly 4 million people applied to work at UnitedHealth Group in 2023, CEO Andrew Witty said.

AgeWell, a specialty managed care insurer, is laying off 68 employees at its headquarters in Lake Success, N.Y., according to regulatory documents published by the state Oct. 31.

Optum will move out of an Eden Prairie, Minn.-based campus with 473,000 square feet of office space by the end of 2023, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported Nov. 2.

UnitedHealthcare's employee count ranges from 32,000 in Texas to under 100 in Alaska, according to the company's website.

CVS Health is planning to lay off an additional 70 employees at Aetna, in addition to a previously announced round of layoffs. 

Former employees with the Cigna Group and its subsidiaries have taken to social media in October regarding layoffs they say are occurring across the company.
