In 2024, Louisville, Ky.-based Humana said it would consolidate its headquarters, exiting the 27-story tower that bears its name. The company plans to list the building for sale.
Humana has offices at two other Louisville sites — the Waterside Building and Clocktower Building. The company filed permits to renovate three floors at the Waterside building, the Louisville Business Journal reported.
The renovations are expected to cost $20 million and include structural modifications and plumbing, electrical and mechanical improvements, the news outlet reported.
Humana has around 10,000 employees in the Louisville area, a spokesperson told Becker’s in 2024. Around 25% work from the company’s offices on any given day.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
