Aledade and payers: 4 updates

Value-based physician platform Aledade has partnered with several of the nation's largest payers over the last year.

The company, which supports physicians and their practices by helping to grow ACOs and value-based care models, has partnered with hundreds of practices that provide care for more than 2 million patients across more than 45 states and the District of Columbia, according to its website.

Four key payer partnerships in the last year:

1. Cigna and Aledade have partnered on value-based primary care for seniors, with Cigna's members able to receive care from Aledade's network of independent primary care practices in Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

2. CareFirst BCBS and Aledade have partnered on new care models by connecting the payer's network physicians with Aledade's tools and resources, allowing CareFirst access to Aledade's specialists, onsite business support, technology platform, and regulatory and policy expertise.

3. Humana and Aledade have partnered for the next 10 years on value-based primary care for Humana's Medicare Advantage members, which includes a path to full-risk agreements. The two organizations have worked together since 2019 in select markets and shared that their collaboration has led to five percent less inpatient hospitalizations and 12 percent less readmissions.

4. Elevance Health has partnered with Aledade by allowing independent primary care providers participating in its 14 affiliated Anthem plan networks to have the opportunity to access Aledade's suite of technology and in-person services.
