The following payer executive moves have been reported by Becker's in the last two weeks:
- Centene appointed Vice Chair Sarah London as CEO.
- Allina Health | Aetna named Robert Wieland, MD, its new CEO. Mr. Wieland will also continue as the company's chief medical officer.
- CareFirst of Maryland, a Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliate, appointed Djinge Lindsay, MD, as its public health director. Dr. Lindsay will lead a new public health infrastructure team focusing on improving health outcomes equity.
- Minneapolis-based UCare selected Hilary Marden-Resnik as the organization's next president and CEO.
- Health Net Federal Services appointed six new members to its executive team:
- Susan Pietrykowski, COO
- Joseph Semith, CFO
- Kurt Malcolm, vice president of provider network management
- Patrick Strahan, vice president of data analytics and reporting
- Ezra Easley, vice president of operations
- John Lossing, vice president of compliance
- Regence BlueShield added three new sales leadership roles, effective April 1.
- Stacy Crim was named vice president of small business for sales and account management
- Jae Suzuki will become vice president of large group for sales and account management
- Peter McClung will continue to serve as vice president of sales with a primary focus on self-funded groups and national account strategies.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' board of directors gained Mary Strother, senior vice president and general counsel at Northeastern University in Boston.
