Three states named new Medicaid directors in June:
1. Cora Steinmetz will become Indiana's Medicaid director later this summer after current director Allison Taylor resigns from the role. Ms. Steinmetz has served as Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb's senior operations director for health-related state agencies since 2021.
2. South Dakota Medicaid Director Sarah Aker will depart from her role in July to serve as director of North Dakota Health and Human Services' medical services division. In her new role, Ms. Aker will lead the department that administers Medicaid services, the Children's Health Insurance Program, autism services and other related services.
3. Emily Zalkovsky was named Texas Medicaid director, effective July 1. She currently serves as deputy state Medicaid director.
