Emily Zalkovsky has been named Texas Medicaid director, effective July 1.
Ms. Zalkovsky currently serves as deputy state Medicaid director, according to a June 1 Texas Health and Human Services Commission news release.
She will take over the role from Stephanie Stephens, who has served as Texas Medicaid director since 2020, according to the release.
