South Dakota Medicaid Director Sarah Aker will depart her role in July to serve as director of North Dakota Health and Human Services' medical services division.
In her new role, Ms. Aker will lead the department that administers Medicaid services, the Children's Health Insurance Program, autism services and other related services, according to a June 9 North Dakota HHS news release.
Ms. Aker led the implementation of South Dakota's Medicaid expansion program, which is set to begin in July.
She will begin her new role July 24, according to the release.
