Molina Healthcare CEO Joseph Zubretsky is now the longest-tenured chief executive among big payers after David Cordani retired as CEO of Cigna on July 1, ending a nearly 17-year run in the role.

1. Molina Healthcare: Joseph Zubretsky. CEO since November 2017.
2. Elevance: Gail Boudreaux. CEO since November 2017.
3. Centene: Sarah London. CEO since March 2022.
4. Humana: James Rechtin. CEO since July 2024.
5. CVS Health (Aetna): David Joyner. CEO since October 2024.
6. UnitedHealth Group: Stephen Hemsley. CEO since May 2025 (previously served as CEO from 2006 to 2017).
7. Cigna: Brian Evanko. CEO since July 2026.
