Rupert Bondy, the company’s current chief legal officer, will become senior counsel and executive vice president of governance, compliance and security, according to a May 16 regulatory filing. Chris Zaetta, chief legal officer at Optum, will become UnitedHealth Group’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
The changes will take effect June 4, according to the filing.
Mr. Bondy was named chief legal officer in February 2022. Mr. Zaetta has been the top attorney at Optum since 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously held roles as worldwide vice president of litigation at Johnson and Johnson and head of litigation for UnitedHealthcare.
