5 payer exec resignations, retirements

Several payer executives stepped down from their positions or retired in 2022.

Here are five executive resignations that occurred or were announced since Jan. 1: 

1. Meghan Joyce, the COO of Oscar Health and executive vice president of the +Oscar platform, is resigning April 10, according to a March 7 Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

2. John Murabito, Cigna’s 19-year chief human resources officer and chief administrative officer, is retiring April 1.

3. Simeon Schindelman, Bright HealthCare’s CEO, stepped down from his role March 11.

4. Andrew Dreyfus, president and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, will resign at the end of 2022 after 12 years at the helm. 

5. Tim Wentworth, president and CEO of Cigna subsidiary Evernorth, retired. Evernorth President and COO Eric Palmer was promoted to company CEO and president, effective Jan. 1.
