OU Health, BCBS Oklahoma ink value-based contract

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and OU Health in Oklahoma City have signed a three-year in-network agreement.

The new contract will center around a value-based care delivery and payment model to incentivize providers to focus on whole-person health, according to a June 16 news release.

OU Health will also participate in BCBS' NativeBlueSM, a self-funded group plan that provides tribal-owned businesses health coverage options for employees, regardless of tribal citizenship.

Under the new contract, there will be no service disruptions at OU Health Physicians Clinics, University of Oklahoma Medical Center, Oklahoma Children's Hospital, Edmond Medical Center, OU Health's Breast Health Network and OU Health Urgent Care and ER.

Blue TraditionalSM, Blue Choice PPOSM, Blue Preferred PPOSM, BlueLincs HMOSM, Blue Advantage PPOSM and Plan65 SelectSM members will have maintained in-network benefits at OU Health facilities.
