Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare Health System has reached an agreement in principle with Premera Blue Cross, the health system told Becker’s July 29.
While details of the contract are still being finalized, MultiCare said Premera commercial members will continue having access to care at the system’s hospitals, clinics and facilities throughout Washington state.
“We value our longstanding partnership with Premera and are pleased to continue providing high-quality, locally accessible care to the communities we serve,” a MultiCare spokesperson told Becker’s.
The negotiation deadline had previously been pushed from the spring until the end of July, with the system slated to go out of network Aug. 1.
