CareSource has named David Thomas as president of the company’s Ohio market.
Mr. Thomas was most recently CEO of markets and Medicaid at Centene, according to a news release shared with Becker’s July 7. He was named CEO of Centene’s Medicaid business in 2022 and left the role at the end of 2024.
The former Centene executive was previously CEO of Fidelis Care, a New York-based insurer. The company was acquired by Centene in 2017.
Steve Ringel, CareSource’s current Ohio market president, is set to retire at the end of 2025, according to the release.
Dayton, Ohio-based CareSource has 2.1 million members.
