UnitedHealthcare looks to offload 87K square feet of Wisconsin office space

The entire building encompasses 174,000-square-feet and was developed for UnitedHealth, which leased it in 2021 — it sold in 2022 for nearly $37 million.

In 2023, UnitedHealth Group said it would move its Minnetonka, Minn.-headquarters, to an existing campus occupied by Optum in nearby Eden Prairie, reflecting the need for less office space as more employees work remotely. UnitedHealthcare will continue to be based in Minnetonka.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
