Former employees with Elevance Health, previously known as Anthem, and its subsidiaries have taken to social media regarding an unknown number of job cuts they say are occurring across the company. Elevance confirmed "recent changes" with Becker's.

CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield cut 140,000 square feet of office space in Washington, D.C., Bisnow reported Sept. 27. 

Centene is laying off about 2,000 employees starting Oct. 2, or about 3 percent of its workforce, as the company faces financial difficulties over Medicaid redeterminations and Medicare Advantage star ratings, the St. Louis Business Journal reported Sept. 26.

Over 1,000 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan employees are striking, after United Auto Workers and the company failed to reach a new contract agreement.

CVS Health has started delivering layoff notices across the company, including Aetna.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City has listed its current headquarters for sale ahead of a planned move to a new location, the Kansas City Business Journal reported Aug. 15.
