An office building Centene invested millions in but rarely used is up for sale, the St. Louis Business Journal reported May 9.
Centene spent $7 million renovating the building in Maryland Heights, Mo., adding amenities like a cafe and fitness center. The company signed a lease on the building for 2019 to 2025.
Occupancy in the building was never above 50 percent and was not occupied after the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
The 93,000 square-foot space is listed for sale at just above $14 million.
The St. Louis-based payer has moved out of at least 600,000 square feet of office space in the past year.
