According to a Feb. 8 news release, the hotline is the first 24-hour crisis line in the state. Molina is partnering with behavioral health nonprofit Impower to administer the hotline.

The hotline is especially important for rural residents, the company said in the release, who may not be able to access crisis services because of transportation barriers.

“Mental health crises can happen at any moment and it’s critical to have qualified professionals available to help in real time,” Mike Jones, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Florida, said in the release.

“This service will ensure the safety and well-being of plan members and their families by linking them directly with a mental health clinician at their times of greatest need,” he continued.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
