According to a Nov. 1 news release, the BeMe app provides activities and one-on-one coaching to provide support and coping skills for teenagers.

In California, 64 percent of teenagers with symptoms of depression did not receive care, according to a 2022 report cited in the release.

The BeMe app was developed in collaboration with a teen advisory board.

“Molina is dedicated to improving the lives and well-being of its members and communities,” Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California, said in the release. “Young people are tomorrow’s leaders, and we must do everything in our power to recognize and support them through the bumpy road to young adulthood and beyond.”

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
