Stellarus, a healthcare technology company born out of a Blue Shield of California restructuring, is rolling out its AI-powered Customer Service Representative Chat for health plan customer service representatives.

According to a July 30 news release, CSR Chat is Stellarus’ first commercially available product within its Compass suite, an AI-driven engagement platform for health plans.

CSR Chat supplies representatives with live guidance and contextual support — including policy information and recommended responses — during interactions, aiming to boost consistency, efficiency and accuracy.

“CSR Chat helps put the right information in front of representatives at the right moment, enabling more consistent service, faster resolutions and better experiences for the people they support,” Vanessa Colella, PhD, president and CEO of Stellarus, said in the news release. “It’s also an important first step in our broader Compass vision to transform how health plans engage with members and providers through AI.”

Compass strives to reduce friction with operations and improve the user experience. Stellarus anticipates releasing further capabilities through Compass in the coming months.

The company’s healthcare technology platform, AtlasIQ, powers the suite. AtlasIQ brings together real-time data, AI and workflow coordination to assist health plan operations.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
