The Member Health Record will allow members to view all of their health records available to Blue Shield, including historical data prior to their membership, and connections between clinical data and claims, according to a June 26 news release from the insurer.
An initial version of the platform will be available to Blue Shield Medicare Advantage members and roll out to other populations through 2024.
According to the release, Blue Shield of California plans to add enhancements to the platform in 2025, including the ability to view dependent members’ records and access to care management plans for chronic conditions.
