BCBS members in parts of Tennessee will soon be able to receive in-home or virtual palliative care from Amedisys clinicians at no additional cost, according to a Feb. 15 news release.
“Palliative care at home brings coordinated and specialized care into the homes of our members and avoids unnecessary hospitalization,” Angeline Brunetto, MD, vice president and chief medical officer of BCBS’ senior care division, said. “Increasingly, this is what patients want and we are proud to offer these services to our middle Tennessee members.”
