Members in 11 states — Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin — can access a virtual care team, which will help create personalized plans and guide care.

Members also have access to 24/7 urgent care via text chat, video visits, digital prescription refills, online screenings and tests, and referrals to in-person care.

“This virtual primary care offering is part of our ongoing efforts to redefine the future of healthcare – giving members more ways to connect with their doctors; integrating digital, virtual, and in-person care,” said Beth Keyser, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana.

“Consumers are adopting digital technologies at an accelerating pace,” she continued. “To meet this demand, we continually introduce innovative services that make healthcare more convenient, fit into members’ increasingly busy schedules, and align with the more consumer-centric experiences they have in other areas of their lives.”

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
