Eligible commercial members will gain access to virtual care options, including an AI-powered symptom checker, routine wellness care, chronic condition management and behavioral care, according to a March 27 news release.
The virtual care services will take place through Anthem's app, Sydney Health. The app offers 24/7 medical text chat, preventive wellness visits, support services including new prescriptions and refills, and in-network referrals.
Virtual-first plans will be available to eligible members enrolled in large group administrative plans and large group fully insured plans starting in July. The service will be available to national account ASO clients in 2024.
