Nearly 4 million UnitedHealthcare members will have access to Peloton's digital fitness classes come Sept. 1.
Announced July 20, eligible employer-sponsored plan members have free access to either a 12-month Peloton membership or a four-month all-access membership to access workouts on their phone through the Peloton App.
Members have thousands of live and on-demand classes to pick from, ranging from yoga and running to meditation and strength training.
The partnership is the first of its kind for Peloton, a digital fitness company, and any healthcare plan.
"Peloton members have always shared how much movement and activity positively impacts their mental, physical and emotional health," said Peloton President William Lynch. "Knowing that we can positively impact our members' lives and help them be the best versions of themselves is one of the reasons we are collaborating with UnitedHealthcare and launched Peloton Corporate Wellness to work directly with organizations. Peloton and UnitedHealthcare are both committed to making movement and fitness more accessible and available and we can't wait to welcome UnitedHealthcare members to the Peloton community."
