Under the agreement, UnitedHealthcare commercial members are eligible for a yearlong subscription to a Peloton App membership, or receive a three-month waiver toward a Peloton All-Access membership, at no additional cost, according to a Sept. 21 joint news release from the companies.

The Peloton offer was already included in most UnitedHealthcare fully insured employer sponsored plans and is now available as an option for organizations with a self-funded plan and fewer than 3,000 employees and dependents, according to the release. Larger employers with a self-funded plan can make the offer available to their employees through a direct arrangement with Peloton Corporate Wellness.

The payer and Peloton launched the offer in 2021, according to the release. UnitedHealthcare members are collectively completing more than 1 million classes per month.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
