UnitedHealthcare will offer individual exchange plans in Wisconsin, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Carolina in 2024.
The payer will continue to offer ACA exchange plans in 22 other states, according to an Oct. 1 message to providers.
UnitedHealthcare added four additional states to its ACA offerings for 2023. The insurance giant is expanding its ACA footprint after mostly abandoning the ACA market in 2017 following steep losses. In 2016, United sold plans on 33 state exchanges, which fell to two states by 2018.
