From naming a new Optum CEO to its planned acquisition of Amedisys heading to mediation, here are 10 updates on UnitedHealth Group and its subsidiaries that Becker’s has reported since April 14:
1. UnitedHealth Group has 1,000 uses for AI technology currently in production across its insurance, care delivery and pharmacy businesses, according to the Wall Street Journal.
2. UnitedHealth Group posted the largest profit among large payers in the first quarter of 2025.
