Many individual insurance plans offered on the ACA exchange in New York and Virginia will see premium increases of over 20 percent in 2024, according to data from the KFF-Petersen Health System tracker.
According to the analysis, published Aug. 4, most insurers plan to raise rates between 2 and 10 percent in 2024, citing inflation as a major factor behind higher costs.
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is proposing a rate increase of 100 percent in Virginia, the highest of any payer reviewed by KFF, according to the data.
