A lawsuit from Ohio’s attorney general alleged that the pharmacy benefit manager overcharged the state’s bureau of worker’s compensation $15.8 million from 2015 to 2018, according to an Oct. 25 news release from the office.
The attorney general’s office alleged that OptumRx breached its contract by applying incorrect reimbursement rates to certain claims for generic drugs, according to the release. It also failed to achieve a target reimbursement rate for certain pharmacy claims during its final two-year contract extension.
OptumRx admits no wrongdoing or liability, according to the news release.
