“When the legislature reconvenes in January, I will propose Medicaid expansion for the sixth time so Kansas can achieve a healthier workforce and a healthier economy,” Ms. Kelly said in a Sept. 20 news release.
The campaign, which will include travel across the state, was launched outside William Newton Hospital in Winfield, Kan.
Kansas is one of 10 states that have not expanded Medicaid to all low-income adults. Some Mississippi lawmakers have also indicated Medicaid expansion will be a legislative priority next year.
