Jefferson Health Plans entering Pennsylvania ACA market

Jefferson Health Plans will enter Pennsylvania’s ACA exchange market in 2024.

According to a Sept. 28 news release from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, Jefferson Health Plans will offer individual coverage in three counties in 2024. 

Jefferson Health Plans, previously known as Health Partners Plans, offers Medicaid and Medicare coverage in Pennsylvania. The insurer was acquired by Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health in 2021. 

Highmark Health Plans will expand to five new counties on the state’s exchange for 2024, and Geisinger Health Plan will add one new county, according to the release.
