Humana's CenterWell expanding to in-home primary care

CenterWell, Humana's older-adult focused primary care business, is expanding to in-home primary care.

According to an Aug. 30 news release, the CenterWell Primary Care Anywhere program is available in Atlanta, Savannah, and Columbus, Ga., and Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La.

Patients pay the same copay for in-home or in-clinic primary care, according to the news release.

"Primary Care Anywhere brings the comprehensive, whole-person care we provide in our centers to patients at home, Vivek Garg, MD, CenterWell's chief medical officer, said in the release. "They can expect the same integrated care teams who keep them at the center of everything we do."

The new home care service builds on the capabilities of Heal, a home primary care company Humana acquired in January, according to the release.

CenterWell is rapidly expanding, with plans to open 30 to 50 new clinics each year through 2025. It currently has more than 250 clinics in 12 states.
