Horizon Healthcare, New Jersey's largest health insurer, and Envision Healthcare have reached a statewide multiyear agreement opening Envision's physician network to Horizon patients.
"This new agreement builds on our commitment to lowering the cost of healthcare for Horizon members while delivering access to critical health providers like those who work in any of the hospitals that rely on Envision Healthcare's practices for radiology, emergency medicine, anesthesia and other essential services," said Robert Franzoi, vice president of healthcare management at Horizon.
Nashville-Tenn.-based Envision, one of the country's largest providers of emergency room services, has nearly 1,800 clinicians in New Jersey.
Horizon, New Jerseys's oldest health insurer, is owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
