Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, though Hartford HealthCare has already collaborated with Cigna for four years, including partnering on Integrated Care Partners, a clinical integration organization.

“Being able to agree on this contract a full month before the existing agreement’s expiration date eliminates any possibility of confusion and unnecessary disruption for our patients, providers and the communities we serve,” said James Cardon, executive vice president at Hartford HealthCare.
