Three things to know:
1. HAP CEO Teresa Kline has held the position since late 2016. Michael Genord, MD, the health plan’s senior vice president and CMO, will serve as president and CEO while Henry Ford conducts a CEO search.
2. Ms. Kline was central to the health insurer’s $30 million turnaround. In the first half of 2019, HAP grew its Medicare Advantage market share after a decade of lower enrollment.
3. Under her leadership, HAP also expanded its partnerships, in one case collaborating with two physician organizations to offer primary care-based Medicare Advantage plans.
