ACA Marketplace coverage hits 11.5M

About 11.5 million people have enrolled in ACA marketplace plans as of Dec. 15, according to CMS.

About 1.8 million more people have signed up for health insurance over the same period last year, marking an 18 percent increase, CMS said in a Dec. 27 news release. 

The White House has touted increased subsidies available this year as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. About 80 percent of marketplace enrollees will qualify for coverage for less than $10 a month, according to the release.
