9 Medicare Advantage plans with NCQA’s Health Equity accreditation

Just nine Medicare Advantage plans have obtained the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s health equity accreditation.

The standard is granted to plans with an organizational focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, collecting health equity data and reporting outcomes by race and ethnicity. 

The committee introduced a health equity plus accreditation in 2022, which adds more standards for addressing social determinants of health. One MA plan, Health Net of California, has earned this designation. 

Here are nine Medicare Advantage plans recognized for health equity, as of October 2023: 

  1. Community Health Group (California) 
  2. Community Health Plan of Washington 
  3. Health Net of California 
  4. Health New England (Massachuestts) (HMO) 
  5. Health New England (Massachusetts) (PPO) 
  6. Independence Blue Cross (Pennsylvania) (PPO) 
  7. Independence Blue Cross (Pennsylvania) (HMO) 
  8. Priority Health (Michigan) (HMO)
  9. Priority Health (Michigan) (PPO)
