UnitedHealthcare added four additional states to its ACA offerings for 2024 (Wisconsin, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Carolina), bringing the company's total to 26 ACA markets.
Aetna expanded its ACA plans to five new states in 2024 (Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Ohio and Utah), in addition to the 12 states where the company already offers plans.
Banner|Aetna is adding individual and family plans to Gila County, Ariz. in 2024, bringing the joint venture's total footprint to seven counties.
Centene's Ambetter Health expanded its footprint into 83 new counties across 11 states for 2024. Ambetter will also now be offered in Delaware, increasing the company's exchange presence to 29 states.
Cigna Healthcare will offer marketplace health plans in 350 counties in 14 states, including an expansion to 15 new counties in North Carolina. The payer will exit the exchange market in Kansas and Missouri, along with two counties in Utah and Arizona.
Highmark expanded its ACA plans into western Pennsylvania for 2024, adding to the company's offerings in the rest of the state, along with New York, Delaware and West Virginia.
