The 2016 Xerox Services Consumer Open Enrollment Survey was conducted online in September and included about 2,000 U.S. adults, 1,937 of whom had a health plan.

Here are three survey findings.

1. Fifty-six percent of respondents would expect a payer representative to have most or all of their personal health information from medical records on hand during open enrollment.

2. Thirty-seven percent of insured U.S. adults ages 55 to 64 said they were very confident about the selection they made during open enrollment, while 22 percent of adults ages 18 to 34 said the same.

3. Seventy-nine percent of respondents said they find it valuable to connect with a person with a healthcare background to discuss health insurance questions during open enrollment.
