Five insurtech market exits reported by Becker's over the last year:
Oscar Health said May 9 it is leaving the California individual ACA market for plan year 2024, though it plans to reenter the market in the future.
Oscar Health said in November it would exit the Medicare Advantage markets in New York and Texas, leaving the company with a single MA plan in Broward County, Fla.
Oscar Health said in May 2022 that it would exit the Arkansas and Colorado individual ACA markets for plan year 2023.
Bright Health said in April it is trying to sell its California Medicare Advantage business, a move that would effectively end all of the company's insurance business. The company ended its MA business outside of California at the end of 2022.
Bright Health exited the individual and family ACA markets in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas and Tennessee at the end of 2022.
