3 Tennessee insurers focus on improving provider directories

UnitedHealthcare, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Amerigroup Tennessee adopted a new tool to help improve erroneous provider directories.

The three health plans adopted CAQH ProView, a solution used by almost 1,000 health plans, hospitals and provider groups. The tool aims to save millions in administrative costs by streamlining provider data updates.

The plans will adopt the tool throughout 2019 to organize data submission for Medicaid providers in Tennessee.
