3 payers expanding California ACA offerings

Aetna, Inland Empire Health Plan and Health Net will expand their reach on Covered California, the state’s ACA exchange, in 2023.

According to a July 25 news release, Inland Empire Health Plan will join the marketplace for 2024, offering plans in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. 

Aetna will expand into Contra Costa and Alameda counties next year. Health Net, a Centene subsidiary, will expand to Imperial County. 

Oscar Health will exit the state’s market in 2024. The insurer has around 35,000 members in the state.
