10 digital health startups tapped for UnitedHealthcare Accelerator

UnitedHealthcare has named the 2023 class for its four-month accelerator program. 

Leaders from 10 digital health startups will have the opportunity to work closely with UnitedHealthcare executives and healthcare subject matter experts to evolve their businesses, according to an Aug. 7 UnitedHealthcare news release.   

The accelerator program started in 2019, according to the release. Ninety percent of the 2023 class were founded by women and/or people of color. 

The 10 companies joining the UnitedHealthcare Accelerator are:

1. Advocatia, which helps healthcare organizations engage and enroll their customers into benefits programs that reduce costs and improve health outcomes. 

2. Affect Therapeutics, which offers digital substance use disorder treatment. 

3. Budgie Health, which uses real-time claims and financial analytics to guide employees to the right health plan choice. 

4. Isaac Health, a population brain health and dementia management platform. 

5. Laguna Health, an AI-powered contextual care management platform.

6. Marti Health, which is working to eliminate health disparities in special needs populations.

7. Mighty Health, a chronic disease and weight management program for adults older than 50. 

8. Mirza, which works with employers to remove childcare as an obstacle for working parents. 

9. Spark, a tech-enabled Medicare brokerage. 

10. StationMD, a telehealth company serving patients with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
