CVS Health recently expanded the roles of three of its C-suite executives and welcomed a new president of Aetna. Here is more information about executives that make up CVS Health's leadership team, according to the company's website:
Karen Lynch, president and CEO: Ms. Lynch has served as CVS Health's CEO since February 2021. She previously served as executive vice president of CVS Health and president of Aetna. Prior to joining CVS Health, she held executive roles at Cigna and Magellan Health Services.
Sree Chaguturu, MD, chief medical officer: Dr. Chaguturu is an executive vice president and leads CVS Health's medical affairs organization, which includes Aetna, CVS Caremark, CVS Pharmacy, MinuteClinic, women's health and genomics, data and analytics, patient safety and health equity. He previously served as the chief medical officer for CVS Caremark, the company's pharmacy benefits management business.
Katerina Guerraz, chief strategy and enterprise affairs officer: Ms. Guerraz is an executive vice president and leads corporate communications, enterprise strategy and serves as the chief strategic adviser to the president and CEO. She previously served as COO of Aetna's Medicare group business. She has been with the company since 2000.
Shawn Guertin, CFO and president of health services: Mr. Guertin is an executive vice president and is responsible for all aspects of CVS Health's financial strategy and operations. In September, he added the title of president of health services and is responsible for unifying the company's care delivery assets. He previously served as an executive vice president, CFO and chief enterprise risk officer at Aetna.

He previously served on the boards of several private equity-backed healthcare companies. He also served as an adviser to the founder and CEO of Gwell, a precision health and medicine company.
Brian Kane, president of Aetna. Mr. Kane is an executive vice president at CVS Health and joined the company as Aetna's president in September. Prior to joining Aetna, he was a strategic consultant to multiple private equity firms. He previously served as Humana's CFO.

As chief pharmacy officer, he has oversight and responsibility for the company's omnichannel pharmacy strategy focused on integration. In September, he became the sole president of pharmacy and consumer wellness, where he has oversight of all aspects of the company's retail business. He previously served as senior vice president of Icore, a Magellan Health Services company.
