Meet CVS Health's board of directors

CVS Health's board of directors includes current and former leaders from healthcare, government and business. 

Several of the board's members joined when the healthcare giant acquired other companies. 

Here are the 12 directors leading the company: 

Fernando Aguirre is the former chair, president and CEO of consumer products distributor Chiquita Brands. He joined CVS Health's board when it acquired Aetna in 2018. He also serves on the board of chocolate manufacturer Barry Callebaut and Synchrony Financial. 

Jeffery Balser, MD, PhD, is president and CEO of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and dean of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He joined CVS Health's board in 2022. 

C. David Brown is a partner at law firm Nelson, Mullins Riley and Scarborough. He joined CVS Health's board when it acquired Caremark Rx in 2021. 

Alecia DeCoudreaux is the president emerita of Mills College, which she led from 2011 to 2016. She was formerly vice president and deputy general counsel at Eli Lilly. 

Nancy-Ann DeParle is a managing partner and co-founder of private equity firm Consonance Capital Partners. Ms. DeParle served in the White House from 2009 to 2013 as director of the White House Office of Health Reform and later as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for policy. She also serves on the board of HCA Healthcare. 

Roger Farah is the chair of CVS Health's board, a role he has held since 2022. He is the former co-chief executive officer and executive director of retailer Tory Burch. He also serves on the board of jewelry retailer Tiffany and Co. and auto insurer Progressive. 

Edward Ludwig is the former chief executive officer of medical technology company Becton, Dickinson and Co. He was the lead director of Aetna from 2012 until it was acquired by CVS Health in 2018. 

Karen Lynch is the president and CEO of CVS Health, a role she has held since 2021. 

Jean-Pierre Millon is the former president and CEO of PCS Health Systems. He joined CVS Health's board when it acquired Caremark Rx in 2021. 

Anne Finucane is the chair of the board of Bank of America Europe. She was vice chair of Bank of America from 2015 to 2021. She also serves on the board of directors of retailer Williams Sonoma. 

Mary Shaprio is vice chair for public policy and special adviser to the founder of Bloomberg. She was chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2009 to 2012, the first woman to lead the agency. She also serves on the board of Morgan Stanely. 

William Weldon is the former CEO of Johnson & Johnson, a role he held until his retirement in 2012. He is also a director of property and casualty insurance company Fairfax Financial Holdings.
