Big payers ranked by CFO tenure

Healthcare CFOs’ tenures last an average of 3.7 years, according to a September report from Crist|Kolder Associates.

Here’s how CFO tenure stacks up at the country’s largest health insurers:

  1. Molina Healthcare: Mark Keim. CFO since February 2021. 
  2. Centene: Drew Asher. CFO since May 2021. Mr. Asher is stepping down from the role at the end of 2026. Chris Neczypor, most recently CFO at Lincoln Financial, will assume the role on Jan. 1, 2027. 
  3. Elevance Health: Mark Kaye. CFO since November 2023.
  4. Humana: Celeste Mellet. CFO since January 2025.
  5. The Cigna Group: Ann Dennison. CFO since March 2025.
  6. CVS Health (Aetna): Brian Newman. CFO since May 2025. 
  7. UnitedHealth Group: Wayne DeVeydt. CFO since September 2025.
