Seven payers have been included in Points of Light’s 13th annual “Civic 50 honorees,” a national standard for corporate citizenship and how companies use their time, skills and resources to drive social impact in their communities and company.
The Civic 50 honorees are companies with annual domestic revenues of at least $1 billion and are selected based on four metrics of their corporate citizenship and social impact initiatives: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems, and impact measurement.
Points of Light is an Atlanta-based international nonprofit founded by President George H.W. Bush in 1990.
Among all 50 companies, BCBS Massachusetts was named the leader in the healthcare sector.
